Name: Alan O’Keeffe
Originally from Ireland, Alan graduated with a BSc Honors Degree in Sports Rehabilitation from St. Mary’s University in Twickenham. Following his degree, he gained valuable experience in the management and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in an NHS outpatients department, conducting spinal and knee injury rehabilitation clinics. Alan’s desire to further develop and enhance his clinical skills and theoretical knowledge led him to complete an MSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Cumbria.
Alan’s clinical interests lie within musculoskeletal medicine and the management of sports/running-related injuries. He has a strong background in running gait and biomechanics, and utilises the most up to date treatments/techniques for these related conditions. His clients include anyone from the recreational sports person to the elite Olympic athlete. In addition to his normal clinical week, Alan has continued his pursuit of a career in sports injury management and musculoskeletal physiotherapy by working with London Irish Amateurs RFC over the last three seasons, where he specialises in return to play rehabilitation.
